IFMA Names Peter M. Winters, AIA, CFM, to Board of Directors

Peter M. Winters, AIA, CFM, Senior Vice President for HOK Advance Strategies, has been named to the Board of Directors of the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA). IFMA is the largest and most widely recognized professional association for facility managers and has more than 19,000 members. The Association's membership is represented with 125 chapters and 15 councils in 65 countries worldwide. Globally, IFMA conducts research, provides educational programs, and recognizes facility management degree and certificate programs.

Pete has over 30 years of facility management, project management, strategic planning, architecture, and interior design experience in the U.S., China, Canada, Australia, UK, France, Mexico, Hong Kong, and Japan. He has held senior managerial positions in the industry for the past 20 years. Pete also has expertise developing strategic partnerships in Asia and is familiar with many of the business practices and challenges of doing business in Asia and Europe.

Pete is a frequent speaker at industry events, including CoreNet Global and IFMA conferences both nationally and regionally. His articles have appeared in trade publications including Journal of Facilities Management, Buildings Magazine, and Facilities Journal. Last summer, Pete delivered a presentation at IFMA’s Integrate 2007, a FM conference held in Hong Kong, entitled, "Trials and Tribulations of Global Facility Planning."
